Who is suitable for Emface treatment?

Emface may also be recommended to patients considering dermal filler treatment in order to create an initial tightening and lift of the face so less dermal filler will be needed. What does the treatment involve?
You will lay down whilst the EMFACE applicators are applied over the treatment areas for 20 minutes. We can treat the forehead and the cheeks or the cheeks and the chin or the eyes and forehead. During this time you will experience a gentle warmth and will feel muscle contractions.
Before Treatment
No specific preparation is required. However you must arrive with no makeup and clean skin to ensure the applicators adhere fully for best results. You should wear comfortable loose clothing such as a T shirt. You should remove all metal jewellery and accessories and electronic devices. If you have a beard, you will need to shave this before treatment. You should stop using tretinoin for a week before your treatment.
After Treatment
EMFACE is a non-invasive procedure that requires no recovery or downtime.

There may be some redness of the skin which will settle quickly. You can resume your regular lifestyle straight after treatment. It is recommended to follow a healthy diet, keep well-hydrated and use medical grade skincare for best results.
How many treatments will I need?
A course of 4 treatments spaced a week apart are recommended. Some patients will benefit from a further 2 treatments.
When will I see results?
You begin to feel tangible results right after the treatments. Optimal results are usually seen 3 months after the last session of a 4 treatment course and continue to improve following the treatment.
How Long will it Last?
Longevity of treatment does vary between individuals and the face will return to its pre-treatment state over time. A maintenance treatment every 6 to 12 months is recommended.
